The Hotel

The Aubrey an Australian/English owned small friendly boutique hotel situated in Bellavista, Providencia is truly a distinctive urban retreat that lets one escape from the buzz of the city. It is a transformed space with 15 beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, each with a unique character and most with balconies and terraces. The old Mission style outdoor patio terraces with medieval stone arches now provide for an outdoor oasis, overlooked by exotic landscaped gardens, where for much of the year you can enjoy alfresco dining or unwind and relax to the peaceful sounds of the cascading water arches enjoying a complimentary pisco sour upon arrival. There are many created public areas to enjoy including soaking up the sun on the outdoor heated jacuzzi swimming pool and upper terraces

The Aubrey combines the original mansion, steeped in history, owned by one of the leading political figures of his days, Domingo Duran, built in 1927, with the neighbouring house owned by the Mannarelli family, the original architect of both properties (1927-1932). The neighbouring house incorporates art deco features that have been carefully retained. The Aubrey includes a contemporary purpose-built pavilion that contains the piano lounge and overlooks the patios which makes for a romantic intimate space, bordering the hill, San Cerro Cristobal. A modern heated swimming and original arches coexist harmoniously with the new construction, giving a nostalgic tone to the scene. The play of light over the different style elements of the hotel make a stay at The Aubrey a work of art.
